World Cup finalists Croatia suffered unexpectedly heavy 6:0 defeat to World Cup underachievers Spain in Nations League group stage clash. The score was open on 24th minute by Saul, and 10 minutes later Marco Asensio sent 2 beautiful goals past Ivan Kalinic in space of 2 minutes. 4 minutes after the break La Furia Roja added their 4th of the game after Rodrigo bossed the one-one-one passage against the keeper. Captain Sergio Ramos also extended his impressive goalscoring tally by scoring a header from the corner while his Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos smashed 6th of the game with amazing shot assisted by Marco Asensio who looks like new Spain leader. Questionable performance by Croatia who probably still suffer World Cup leftover, while Spain looks recovered from their July 1th fiasco and appointment of Luis Enrique as new manager helps a lot.

  • Spaniards are leaders their group with 6 points earned, while Croatian side is rock bottom with no points
  • England from the same group have 3 points

Spanish team frustrated Croatia didn't believe that the goals will not be more then 2goals as predicted in Argentina's game which they played 0:0.

That score was a surprise to me .
