Gothenburg And Its Urban Appearance, Part V
As previously mentioned, the Gothenburg Film Festival ends for this year. A film that is worth seeing and worth seeing about is the award-winning movie Cinema Paradiso from 1988. This drama film is written and directed by Giuseppe Tornatore, with Philippe Noiret and Salvatore Cascio in the lead roles. In November 2018, the film was in place 54 on IMDb over the 250 best films made.
For those interested in French film music, I recommend the movie Umbrellas in Cherbourg from 1964. This musical film is directed by Jacques Demy and the music is written by Michel Legrand. The main roles are played by Catherine Deneuve and Nino Castelnuovo.
For those who want to immerse themselves in Michel Legrand's world, there is a completely new article in the French magazine Les Inrockuptibles entitled "Legrand-Le Geánt".
