Announcement: Freedom Friday No. 6 Winners ---> We All Win For "Freedom Of Music, Freedom Songs" // This Weeks Prompt: Freedom Of Personal Power

As with last week we had some amazing writers that joined the Freedom Friday topic, "Freedom Of Music, Freedom Songs." This was an exhilarating week with many who embraced freedom of music.

The @FreedomTribe gave everyone who submitted work on Friday, October 5, 1 STEEM sent to @SteemBasicIncome for their account. Thank you so much for your generosity and helping to keep this initiative going. We love you!

The leaders in this group are @RichardCrill and @LindseyLambz who are working really hard to bring quality content to this platform and showing it by their curation and support. Check out this week's Freedom Friday curation here.

Since @FreedomTribe generously gave all participants a reward that means we are all winners! What is more awesome is that @riverflows has offered to join me in awarding STEEM this week and she chose to send 1 STEEM to @SteemBasicIncome to @mrprofessor for his humorous entry. So far we both have fought hard (not really) for our favorite picks since our #1 has been the same for the last two Freedom Friday initiatives.

This leaves me to decide who to give some STEEM to, and I choose the following:

• @kennyskitchen will receive 1 STEEM sent to @SteemBasicIncome for his account. I couldn't help but be a slightly biased since Kenny picked an NdN song I was going to use and I had to essentially rethink my entire blog for the week because of it. No worries, what came out of this process wasn't too shabby.

• @trucklife-family will receive 1 STEEM sent to @SteemBasicIncome for their account. Again, the NdN song that was featured was right on for me (minus the presidential comments within the song), ce't la vie. I still loved the post and this is your reward.

I've chosen these two amazing people because they submitted great entries, with Kenny writing two weeks back to back, not realizing we postponed one week due to to HF20. I thank you both from the bottom of my heart.

For this week, @riverflows and myself opted out of receiving an award to be able to support others who participated.

Since many would like to participate, this will also serve as the #FreedomFriday announcement and topic due on Friday, October 12, 2018.

The topic is Freedom Of Personal Power.

What is personal power, you might ask? Psychology Today gives us a good basic understanding here:

As described in The Ethics of Interpersonal Relationships (2009), there is a clear distinction between positive power, which I refer to as personal power, and negative power, which can take either a covert or overt form.

From this perspective, there are three basic types of power:

Personal power is based on strength, confidence, and competence that individuals gradually acquire in the course of their development. It is self-assertion, and a natural, healthy striving for love, satisfaction and meaning in one's interpersonal world. This type of power represents a movement toward self-realization and transcendent goals in life; its primary aim is mastery of self, not others.

Personal power is more an attitude or state of mind than an attempt to maneuver or control others. It is based on competence, vision, positive personal qualities, and service. When externalized it is likely to be more generous, creative and humane than other forms of power.

You can submit this at any time on Friday, and some examples are:

• Sing a song
• Art (show your process)
• Show us a video or audio clip
• Write us a story or poem
• Express Freedom of Personal Power from your soul, have fun

These are just some examples, so if you think of some other way you would like to express your freedom associated personal power, please share. We enjoy seeing your post and encourage your self expression.
