Police Raid on Journalists in Australia for Leaked Intel
The Australia Broadcasting Company (ABC) headquarters was raided by police on June 5th over a 2017 series of stories they called the Afghan Files. The Afghan Files exposed unlawful killings done by the Australian special forces. The overreaching intelligence agencies have an issue with having their secrets known, and will go to great lengths to silence the information.

The day before, a journalist from News Corp Australia, Annika Smethurst, was also raided.
It seems the charges against Julian Assange are already setting a precedent for the authoritarian state to try to punish any whistleblowers, or even their "co-conspirators", i.e. journalists and publishers. WikiLeaks had it's own Afghan Files leaks that exposed some dirt on other governments like the US.
The brazen move by authorities to go after the press for publishing leaked information shows how they are already stepping up their suppression of free speech that exposed government misdeeds.
John Lyons of ABC spoke of this step towards darker times for freedom of press and speech, as he posted an image of the search warrant:
"I have to say, sitting here watching police using a media organisation’s computers to track everything to do with a legitimate story I can’t help but think: this is a bad, sad and dangerous day for a country where we have for so long valued - and taken for granted - a free press."

It seems like there is a common movement at play in various geopolitical areas to silence opposing voices that threaten the illusions that political power is built upon or sustained. Officials claim there is no link, but is that so? These actions by authorities are all being done against those who are speaking of things that threaten those who have power through state authority.
From the Assange arrests to other journalists being targeted by authorities for publishing leaked intel. They may not be directly linked in an event, but they are linked by the common thread of what they have done which is why they are being persecuted. It's a link everyone can plainly see.
WikiLeaks stands by the journalists and against the threat of the statism that seeks to imprison people for publishing and exposing secrets of the authoritarian powers. Assange and these journalists are being targeted for similar reasons, while Assange is one facing the tip of the spear. His fate may yet determine the fate of many others.
WikiLeaks released a statement about these attacks and called for support in defending Assange.

It's not a long-shot to assume Australians have been living under a quasi-free state for quite some time now. When citizens openly express the need to quash, only certain people's, freedom of speech then the state takes notice. Western governments are working hard to manipulate those in their populations that are easily manipulated via their emotions....
Australian spy agencies have worked hard to radicalize the Muslim community there and facilitate the travel to Syria among their brainwashed youth. The support and facilities Australian authorities give to Hizb u-Tahrir, for instance, are far more than those given to any Australian grassroots party. Mind you, this party is a global movement to radicalize Muslims Wahhabi style to serve the British empire among the Muslim communities.
I shared a mind blowing documentary before on these prehistoric creatures with added comments and English subtitles before YouTube deleted my whole channel in its first wave of purge. They're very active in Australia and have contributed significantly to the terrorist groups operating in Syria.

We saw that coming, long before the Assange detention. The police state is a global plan especially in the US club of stooges.
I can easily say that the Syrian Crisis has exposed and stripped naked the western media propagandists from the real journalists. And we're talking about over 8 years now of fabricating news, doctoring interviews, promoting terrorists and whitewashing their crimes while at the same demonizing the Syrian State, its armed forces for fighting terrorists, suppressing the news and especially demonizing journalists who dare challenge the Pentagon narrative.
