Day 25 Prompt:Cherry. 200 day selfie 5 minutes Freewrite contest
Cheery on the screen
Today's Prompt for cherry is most challenging for me as I have the least idea about this fruit. I don't know how it look like by itself nor how is it grown on tree. I have seen the cherry used as a top for cake in birthday celebration.
Oh no, i am not going to have a nice story about cherry though I try to give a nice 5 minutes freewrite but what I am going to express is how little I know about it.
Bear with me this round of the contest as I can only do a selfie with a computer screen that display the cherry. Oh yea, all of them are reddish and some even has slightly black or dark brown color.
Anyway, I have not seen a raw cheery but I have seen some similar fruit though. Those cheery used as tops on cake are sweet. Is it the original taste of a cherry. I have no idea.
Perhaps you are kind enough to illustrate to me how is the taste of a raw cheery

If I had to describe how a cherry tastes, it would be the texture of an olive and the sweetness of a berry. But it does have it's own taste. When I get ice cream I like to get black cherry. It is super sweet!!! Great use of the prompt!!
Hi, thanks for dropping by and the description of the taste of cherry. I have not explored hard enough in those high-end supermarkets to find the cherry. Perhaps I should dit as there are importers in Malaysia importing many types of fruits.

I hope you get the chance to try a fresh picked cherry at some point. They're a mixture of sweet and sour and really much different than the maraschino ones used in drinks and on tops of cakes (though these kind are good too). Nothing quite like the juicy ones picked and eaten in the sun :)

That's true, that will be fun to get a chance to plug from a tree like what I did for "rambutan" fruit.
For the least, I have to tase the cherry raw. Maybe I should explore some high-end local supermarkets to see if they import these fruit.

Not sure where you're living, but I know there were some exporting problems with the cherries this year--farmers were biting their nails. All of it had something to do with our new president Trump and his (itiologies).
