Day 293 : 5 Minute Freewrite: Wednesday - Prompt: smooth as silk

It is an expression that to a substance is has a smooth surface that needed something to emphasis its smoothness. Since silk is a material of fabric that is consider to be on of the smoothest material surface, therefore it is used represents it smooth of a material surface.

Since smoothness is often used as a representation, hence most incidence can use the silk as comparison. Example: be a complex project which has many procedures and tasks to carry out is managed so well that the execution of it has almost trouble free. So, you may describe the project is executed as smooth as silk. It does not mean no trouble at all but it could be the procedure of execution is almost trouble free

Another example I could image is refers to material surface. It could be a piece of table top, furniture or other material which require a smooth surface.

Silk,by the way is a form of fabric which itself has a very smooth surface. It is not likely that you find another fabric which has such a smooth surface. So, using silk to describe a smooth surface can be easily appreciated.

This prompt has a challenge for me as my mind is quite blank and run out of idea to write a decent story about it. Nevertheless, since the rule is to keep writing for 5 minutes, the emphasis is on the time taken instead of the length of the article
