5 Minute Freewrite Day 501: Mini Van

For a child, sitting in place while their caretaker draws and speaks about their work, usually isn`t fun, and for Caelynn it was barely tolerable. She may have patience, the way Boddynock spoke about his next design may be mildly curious, but for the gods beyond he should show her something already!!.

The middle-aged gnome was laughing happily, randomly throwing comments like “you’ll see little one”, “comfort, speed and utility”, and “ample moving space”, that last one sounded weird, a space that moves?, this man sure was the interesting kind of crazy, but her ice cream was gone, and she didn’t think her input was that necessary for this thing to work out in the end.

But right when she was going to sneak away, her short friend stopped and said “Done!”. He turned his head and told the elf girl to get closer to his drawing table. There, covering the whole surface of a big sheet of a material she knew was called “paper”, she could see the very precise lines of a carriage of some kind, very sleeck and with small wheels, indeed it looked like it was big inside, and the seats seemed well placed and comfy, but… there was no place to attach a horse rein.

You see Caelynn, the marvel doesn’t end in how pretty it is, it will be autonomous, no animal-power required, and I will call it “Mini Van”! –Later she would learn that “van” was a word from his region that meant “convenience”, so, why just a “small convenience”?.
