Burning (attempting poem freewrite)
Burning with love
A mother can go to the extent
Of sacrificing herself
For the sake of her children.
Burning with hatred
One could go to the insanity level
To murder someone he or she hates
Only then regret in the cell
Burning with passion
One could forego every other dreams
To pursue for the one dream
Despite suffering or loneliness
Burning with anger
One could turn into monster
Blabbering words he himself can't fathom
Only to realise those are venom
Burning with love
My God could send His one and only Son Jesus
Sinless yet become sin
To turn sinners to righteous.
As I typed the above, I could still feel the burning passion in me to empower younger generation to love all out like Jesus did. The passion was embedded in me still, but it can't burn, as I lay down my life to take care of my son who needs me very much now. A song which I love so much when I worship led those days at church. "Burning Ones".

I did it in 5 minutes and yes I am the author. :)
I enjoyed this poem. I think you could have made it even longer exploring more human emotions but still it speaks a lot to how emotions control out life and outcomes.
Yes I could have but we did the freewriting in 5 minutes. So stop there after 5 minutes :)

@iamjadeline, sorry for the late reply. We still have a lot of days available. A few days after I made the announcement, about 6 people signed up and there have been a few more people express interest. I would love for more people to join so that we can support each other with more upvotes.

Great poem, @iamjadeline, and very heartfelt. Pulls on the heartstrings all the way down. God's love and a mother's love, I've been told, are as close together as it can get. It sounds to me that your son is very fortunate to have you as his mother.

Hahaha this is my thoughts when I was writing out my post for this prompt. Except that I was relating to my drama. But I did realize the different burnings determine different outcome. This is a great poem, well done @iamjadeline!! :)
