Magical Little-A-Dew | Bedtime Story I Created for My Children (5-minute Freewrite Prompt - Dew)

Far, far away in the magical land of Enchantusia, there lies in the middle of the garden of Edena a plant called Little-A-Dew. Little because it is a dwarf plant. A-Dew because it has only one leaf which produces one drop of Dew every morning at 6am.

That one drop of Dew is magical as it can heal alot of sickness. Only the owner of the plant knows about it and he is not willing to share the good news. Because he has a son who is sick and the son needs that one Dew every morning to stay alive.

When the son turns 16 years old, he wonders why his dad seals up that particular part of the garden.

"Mum, why dad covers up Dew?" Adame asked his mum one day.

"Sshhh... Keep your volume low when you talk about Dew. It is a magical plant that produces only one drop of dew every morning and that keeps you alive till today, son. If the whole village knows about it, everyone will snatch and you will have none," his mum replied. "Tell no one," she added.

It just doesn't seem right to Adame. How can they be so selfish and keep this amazing thing to themselves? There are many sick children out there too. He could hear families mourning and crying of their little ones passing away.

Since then Adame studies hard day and night. He finally manages to find out the knowledge to reproduce the plant. He successfully plants more of it and after 6 months there are plenty of Little-A-Dews in the garden. Because it is to be kept secret, he collects each dew in small bottle and distributes them to all household with the notes "Let the sick touches this dew and get well".

The whole village becomes healthier and happier in just one day. Adame continues to work hard to plant more of Little-A-Dew. He is asking God for wisdom how to make the plants grow more leaves. More leaves means more Dew per plant. And he has a vision to plant million of them to save many lives.

Moral of the story: As a family and as a community, we are to be kind to the neighbourhood. I told them what grandpa mentioned before "You don't just get all you can, put it in the can and sit on the can." Good news are meant to be shared especially if it can save lives. If people are blessed, so will you. What comes around goes around.
