Oh, the prickly pineapple. It took so long to ripen, and now it is mealy and tough on the inside. It will stave off the scurvy, though.

Mealy. I have an idea in my mind about what mealy means. I have a couple different ideas depending on what is being described as mealy.

If it's an apple, then it's a kind of ... hm, cardboard-y? No that's not quite right. It's as if the apple is not one whole fruit, but instead you can feel the little balls of flesh that make up the apple individually with your tongue.

If it's a pineapple, like this, I think of a sliminess, but again, the importantly mealiness is about a separation of the parts f the fruit from each other... stringy, in this case. Like if you cut it open, you would see gaps where the strands had pulled apart along towards the core.

Mealworms. mealworms are where I feel like mealy comes from. I think of mealworms.

Which are called that because they are worms you feed to birds for a meal? I dunno. Are mealworms worms? Or are they something else that ...like... a millipede or something?

Have you ever thought about the top of your head and where it spends most of its day? It thinks about clouds more than you do, probably, because it's always looking at the clouds. And what about other parts of your body. Ooo I should shower. For some reason my feet stank yesterday. I think they might stink again today, and I think the reason is that I need new shoes.
