Special, very special. It's amazing and wonderful how special my wife @stinawog is. I have high hopes that today she'll do another freewrite. She did one yesterday. She's just so darn terrific.

She's a crackshot at selecting things to invest in. I wish I never had investing opinions other than "we should invest" and then did only what she said.

I've mentioned it before and I'll mention it again. She said, "we should put more into bitcoin" So we did. Which is great. Very great.

And the thing she thinks is the thing to overcome for Steem adoption is just getting people accounts. I get it, though. There's abuse. If accounts were free and easy to come by, abusers make a million accounts because each account is worth a little. "But I gave our friends accounts and delegated to them, why aren't they using Steem?" I ask.

Because they can't get accounts for their friends, too. It's just a little too hard, you know? Like, they can. I'd make an account for someone, or someone could sign up for an account or whatever, but it's too much of an extra step.

We need a simple version for mass adoption. Here's what I'd design, if I had any skillz.

Mobile and desktop/laptop.
Use the name "steem lite" or something so that people don't have to guess. I love Partiko, but it doesn't say "steem" in its name.
Upvotes and downvotes, but you don't see dollar values nor get a slider.
Free immediate accounts that come with a small delegation and if you run low on RCs that automatically delegates more SP to you while you're low.
The app stores your keys and gives you a password. The app pays for itself by using your posting key, which it holds, to upvote itself or whatever - this isn't important to the design of the app, but I feel like a creator would want to know how they were making money. Along with this, maybe there's a help menu or something that explains (like steem monsters) how to unlock full functionality, by pressing a button, and then the app pays itself the 3 steem fee or something from whatever you've earned in curation and author fees or whatever, and provides a glimpse into the deep crevasse that is blockchain technology... but that shouldn't be the standard first time user experience.
An easy way to connect to your friends. Invite them, etc.

I like all the complex things that steem lets you do, but people get overwhelmed by it. Make steem a habit to build on. Yes, just more users.
