There's only one rule to this game, that is ...

Once it's over, we walk away like nothing ever happened and we're strangers until the next time we meet.

She looked into his eyes not knowing if she could trust him again. They have been at this game for years and there seemed to be no end. At numerous occasions she has tried to end this game but she kept on coming back to the same spot.

They both have a good life, a good real life and yet somehow, they keep coming back to this same fantasy for each other. That few hours of being with each other where reality is forgotten and it's just them. It's so wrong and yet it's so right.

Standing just a few yards away from him, she held her arms around her body and shook her head and said out loud," Rules are meant to be broken; plus I'm tired of playing this game where things are forever open ended with no expiration date. Games with no specific parameters are no longer in my interest."

Turning her body towards the door, she slowly walked towards the exit. Gripping her fingers tightly around her jacket in fear that she would give in to her desires for the game once again.
