5 Minute Freewrite : Sunday - Prompt : hate

6 DAYS !! It's been 6 DAYS !!

It's impossible. How could time have passed on by so fast. It felt like just two or three days ago that Samantha brought home her precious baby. She was named after her grandmother, Lian Yee.

There was no denial to it that Baby Lian Yee was beautiful in the eyes of her parents.

After being in the labour room for almost 10 hours, Doctor Lim told her that her baby is trapped in the birth canal. A caesarean operation had to be done on her immediately. Thankfully, her husband was allowed to come into the surgery room while it all happened.

She remembered the stares from all the nurses when her HUSBAND walked into the room. It was a HER not HIM as everyone expected. It didn't matter to her. She loved HIM/HER from the first moment they layed eyes on each other.

Samantha's parents disowned her and never spoke to her again after they found out the truth about her real nature. It was only Grandma Lian Yee who kept in touch with her all this time.

She would've been here if not because of that one fatal accident that took her life away. She never forgave her parents as they were the cause of the incident. Instead of driving Grandma Lian Yee to the grocery store, they've told her to walk across the road knowing that it's too dangerous for a 85 year old lady.

One wrong turn from a drunkard was all it took. Death on site they called it. Samantha called it Murder by Her Parents.

Till today, the hate she has for her parents is deep but she warned herself never to allow that hate to dampened her relationship with her husband and now her newborn baby, Lian Yee.

Many thanks to @mariannewest and @freewritehouse for bringing me along in this magnificent journey. Through them, I have found back my desires to write, be it fiction, freewrite, true or make-belief. I have evolved myself into more than just a reader. Unlike in the past, where I would stick my nose into a book and be amazed with the creations of others, now I'm able to share my own creations to the world.

My first freewrite prompt was : Time to move on in July 2018. Since then, I've never looked back. Just like the song Let It Go by Idina Menzel, when one start to write, the words just keeps flowing out continuously.
