Agree a beacon of hope, something this world is sadly lacking in right now.
That's a beacon that I would want to share with the world too!!
Make one person happy, (someone not directly in your family or friends), a smile, a little cash, a sandwich no matter how insignificant you think it may be, it is huge in that persons life.

We all need that beacon of hope not so @joanstewart, we'd be lost if we did not have that in the world we live in today, lovely freewrite!
Nothing is ever totally lost, always a slight glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel @lizelle free thinking, along with free writing is still free, treat each with the respect it deserves.
I think the world needs more beacons of hope at the moment they are few and far between if you follow the news sadly, but things need ot change and I still hope they can
News just appears to go from bad to worse of late @tattoodjay we need to make our own beacons.

I too like to believe that human nature is more good than evil, and that we bring light to the darkness around us, if we so choose. Thanks for the upbeat message!

Most would like to believe in more good than evil, sadly the evil are in positions of power, exceptionally rich in monetary value, have no moral compass. The many good must band together to build beacons of hope for themselves.
Thanks for the reminder, running late not having had electricity once again.... South Africa is load shedding, in other words they switch electricity off for hours!
The long-time Ohio State football coach, Woody Hayes, liked to say in his speeches that "You can't pay back, you can only pay forward." He explained that many who help you either don't need your help back, or gone before you are in a position to help them. The alternative is to pay forward by helping someone else... in other words, becoming a beacon that shines forward through time.
