You and I do live very much in the same situations - we have thoughtless people starting fires too that destroy habitat and lives - human lives included. so sad.
Fires have taken so much from so many in the Cape Province recently, we had Apple Farm free write the other day which too was affected earlier this year, just hope moving to town the fires are not close to them now.
@fionasfavourites another area recently had fires approaching. Fires with the strong winds in the Cape are something many do not escape from @mariannewest leaves a trail of destruction, loss of life, affecting everyone.

I post a daily prompt and that day, the prompt was apple and Joan wrote about friends of hers who had moved to an apple farm and had to leave it again.

@mariannewest Thank you for this and we are the friends that Lady Joan was talking about. The owner of the apple farm had Leukemia and she sadly passed away. That's why we had to leave the farm, as our help wasn't needed anymore. What is the process to list our charity Lady Marianne? Do I just click on the @actifit link here?
Btw. My wife is also Marian just with a different spelling as you can see.

In holland, during new years even, 1 city almost set itself on fire! Fire rain, fire tornado's, everything, almost wrecked their city. You might want to google that, "fire tornado scheveningen". Upvoted and resteemed, for your support!
Fireworks should be banned in populated areas @ambr.global, bonfires out of control over new years eve, you would think permission would be granted prior to this event by the fire department, good fun can turn into a nightmare....

Burning from the night of New Year's Lady Joan, 11 days now and untold damages. Thousands of hectares and animals have thus far suffered!
Revelry for one night, at what/whose expense, sadly people just never stop to think. Hope the rains they are expecting helps to douse the flames, poor firefighters must be exhausted.
Fires have moved too high up into the mountains for beating fires after water drops from helicopters. Situation now crises levels, only mother nature could lend a helping hand with rain.
That's terrible @joanstewart. I am so sorry this is happening. We had fires in California, but here is SE Asia is is so wet I don't think they happen. In some places they burn on purpose and I guess that gets bad, But so far it has not happened anywhere I have been. I hope everyone is safe.

We have controlled burning which assists some plants, fires not controlled with high winds devastation sets in @fitinfun.
Will give the brain good exercise to work against the clock 😊

We are South Africa (Dutch settlers landed in the Cape) - @ambr.global is Holland which refers back to Polanen, appears both countries had big problems due to New Year revelry.

Yes lost of wind too. But the climat is changing so fast, in austria there is 4 m snow!
