I took this MILK bottle selfie with MomentCam!

"Mama, mama, mama.....meeelk, meelkkkk!" He had the cutest baby talk she thought. Her 2 year older toddler was throwing a fuss just before bedtime. "Sweetheart, Mama is finishing something. Can you please wait?" Her baby boy gave her a look of sullen accusation, as if to tell her that he was hungry and she was starving him even though he had a full meal and cookies for dessert after.

She continued to work on her report when he tugged at her clothes and looked at her with pleading eyes and a cheeky smile. She heaved a sigh of exasperation at his impatience and made a beeline to the kitchen to make a hot bottle for him. He happily toddled behind when he realised that she was walking to the kitchen. He reached up for the tin of formula that was within arm's length and clumsily handed it to her. "Be careful babe! You almost dropped it there. Would you like to help me make your milk?" He giggled and ran to get a tall stool to stand on so that he could reach the kitchen table top.

"You need 4 scoops for that much water. You want to help Mama to scoop to milk into the bottle?" His baby hands trembled with delight and he reached into the tin with the scoop to get the milk powder to put into the bottle and half of it spilled on to the kitchen top. "Oh no..oh no...Mama" he cried pointing at the milk powder littering the kitchen table. She soothed him with a smile saying "It's ok sweetheart there is more milk in the tin, Mama will clean it up later. Now you still need 4 scoops in there." He was more careful after that and managed to get most of the milk he scooped into his bottle. She covered it and shook it hard to combine the milk and the warm water. "Yay! All done!" She laughed handing him the bottle. He climbed down the stool and took it from her. "Drink, Mama" He replied. Then he happily ran to the room to lie down and drink. "Remember to pray before you drink your milk!" She called out to him as he left the kitchen.

She turned to the kitchen top now littered with milk powder...what a mess! Worse still, what a waste! Milk formula was expensive and things were bad enough that she felt horrible having to throw it away. How was she going to clear it up without wasting it? Using a wet cloth would do exactly what she didn't want which was to throw it away. Suddenly it dawned on her! PAPER! She ran to the study table to look for two new and clean pieces of photocopy paper. She would use one piece to sweep the milk powder and the other to receive it, then she could pour it all back into the tin. Good thing she decided to clear and wipe the table clean before making the milk as earlier that day, she had bought BANANAS for the kids and they had insisted on peeling it themselves!

As she was carefully cleaning up, she heard a scream and crying in the room. She rushed over wondering what had happened. "Mama! Meellkkk! Tor-tor take!" Her two-year-old was crying. Her 4-year-old son his older brother was hiding at the corner of the bed drinking from a baby milk bottle. 😱🙄😝🤣

Oh gosh, this is only Day 3 of the competition? 47o go. Yes! I am still at it and having more fun!

200 Days Contest? That's is insane! Good luck and keep it up.
Is that a real story or just made up?

Hahaha @legendchew it is crazy huh? But crazy good I guess! I just hope I don't write rubbish. My story has some truth to it! Hahahaha!

Not 200 Days Contest lah... it's to celebrate Freewrite challenge for reaching 200 days... But I think the contest is 50 days... to see who is the last one writing... :D

Oh, thanks for clarification @elizacheng. That's still incredible for someone to persistent to write for freewrite up to 50 days!

@khimgoh keep it coming and stay on the course. I believe some truth in your story with some fabulous imagination add to it. Well done! 😆

@kaerpediem @digitalmind @alimamasstory too are freewriting too for this challenge! All the best to all of us!!!
Truth or not, most important is both writer and readers have fun writing/reading this...

There goes the group of passion writers. It is perfectly fine to write junk as long as you edit brilliantly. 😆

That's the most important thing! Have fun! 👐

well cannot consider as writing junk... if we put in effort and time to write then definitely it is no junk...

Thanks @legendchew! I did have fun writing it!

Alamak so malu! I thought it was 200 days! Hahaha I amend my footer d. Hahahaha, so funny

No worries. Made it 200 days.. haha..

Hahaha notty tor-tor take didi's milk! But really, who can say no to milk? Got milk? 😂

Milk milk please... :D

Hahahaha! I know it's soooo funnneee right?

Hahahaha! Ya lor! very notty!

I wonder what will your little one think when he grows up and reads this... hmm... omg... mommy put back the milk powder... =_=|||
LOL... Well... I would do something similar... but not put back into the tin, I will put it into the milk bottle in front of my girls... I will tell them, we shouldn't waste, but we can only do this at home where we have been keeping our table clean.

I didn’t know you were writing for 200
Days! I thought it was a celebration of 200 days of freewrites.

Mamas are so sweet, worrying about the milk but not wanting to worry their babies. And siblings...

Hahaha I got it wrong obviously! I took up the challenge at the height of my lack of sleep whilst setting up the server on Sunday night. So ya...@elizacheng pointed it out! Hilarious! hahahahahah can't stop laughing. I did think I was a bit crazy for participating in a 200 days contest but I was drunk on no sleep. Hahahahaha!

Haha so finally you made another bottle of milk for him?? Great freewrite and yes you can do it for 50 days! Cos you are @khimgoh!! :D I also thought it was 200 days haha.

Kakakaka! Funnee la both of us...clowns..

So it's the 5 second rule multiplied

many times over!

Haha kids are so silly! Kudos on you for having the patience to allow them to do things themselves, like peeling their own bananas and mixing up their milk. Too often people wont allow them to learn by doing because it is messy, and time consuming. You are a good mama. ♥

Aww....@squishysquid thanks for the kind words!

What a charming and delightful story! And what a cute pic at the beginning! Love it! Thanks for sharing this in #steemitbloggers 😊
