Day 232: 5 Minute Freewrite: Friday - Prompt: depression

Depression is a disease that can be cured.
We need to talk about depression because many people do not even consider it as a disease. This is not a state of mind caused by problems of daily life, or the sadness caused by a serious event in our lives.
Many of the people who suffer from this disease are sometimes not correctly diagnosed. We have to say that many times the person who does not have it is hard to understand that the depressed person does not want to live or smile, that their children are not enough reason to see life in a different way, than the love of their parents or their husband It does not help at all.
And the people around them reach a point that they get tired, abandon them and depression is added isolation. Therefore, in the care of depression, as well as any other mental illness, we must add attention to the environment that must live together and try to help the patient.
It is important to say and explain that the people who suffer it are not to blame for this condition, but the cause is in the brain. Depression has environmental causes, genetic inheritance, dysfunction in brain neurotransmission.
Luckily science has advanced a lot in this field and has developed effective pharmacological treatments, which can be added a specific diet or activities that improve the quality of life of these people, such as music therapy, physical activity, or other activities that have positive effects.
