FreeWrite - Prompt : Freedom of Sexuality
This is a kinna controversial topic in this region, especially in Malaysia, where I am living. With the majority Malay Moslem, it is very taboo for anyone to be a little bit off fashion in terms of sexuality, being homosexual to be the least.
With the change of the new government last year, the LGBT groups are trying to work their way up for recognition of their rights but it is not very well received by the conventional group.
My personal take on this is especially in Malaysia, you cant force this kind of changes in a short time. Its is only been less than a year since the government change after the election and changes to the LGBT group takes more of a social acceptance instead of written consent from the majority of the ruling government.
Too much time and headlines have been wasted on it on what supposed to be personal instead of public. Especially in a majority conventional moslem country like Malaysia. They almost like asking for Mardi Gra A.S.A.P because it is their rights. I would say keep the calm down and 'push it slowly' If you get what I mean. :)
