Five Minute Free Write-
Portal eh? When I think of a ‘Portal’ it’s of Alice In Wonderland and going down the rabbit hole.
Really I would like to go upward instead of downward. Up, up through an opening in the atmosphere that takes me through a portal into a magical world.
I don’t know exactly what to expect. It is all exciting and different. I’m wearing a golden crown and beautiful clothes...and knocked 40 years off my age. Some of my pets who have gone through the portal over the rainbow bridge will greet me.
This portal will also bring me back to earth when I tire of all the glamour and I will be back to my earthly home with a new understanding of life through the Portal. Time is different when you are going through the portal and you may end up back in the 70s.
How many have gone through a portal and never returned. Bermuda Triangle is one place where people have disappeared. It could be planes and the missing people were sucked into a portal and taken to a magical land. I hope it was a good thing not the end of their life.

They say there is a triangle 🔼 here in Alaska.
Thanks Shasta ❤️ I’ve read about the possibility space travellers from Orion may have seeded the earth and gave us their DNA. They would have travelled through a portal or wormhole to get here.
You will have to do a post on the triangle in Alaska. I’d love to read about it.

I'd much rather go into a portal in the clouds than a portal in a dark n dirty rabbit's hole! :) First, I need wings. Or a tractor beam! I'm not sure I could tire of the glitz and glamour up there though ;) though I suppose returning to a different time period could be interesting. Would it be the same reality? Would we retain our knowledge of the future? Would everything we know eventually come to pass and we could help shape it? Hmmm..

Howdy redheadpei! great freewrite! The idea of portals is a facinating one, I like the read about the discovery of ancient portals, they think they were like the ones in the Stargate television series. I've never read Alice in Wonderland though, maybe I should being as it's so famous and I feel illiterate for not reading it!

Tim Burton directed a rather dark movie about 10 yrs ago on ‘Alice In Wonderland’ with Johnny Depp.
Here’s a brief synopsis of the start of Alice’s adventures:
Mourning the loss of her father and troubled by a dream that keeps occurring, 19-year-old Alice attends a garden party at an estate.
While at the party, she is confronted by an unwanted marriage proposal to the owner’s son and the stifling expectations of the society in which she lives.
Baffled by all this, she pursues a rabbit wearing a blue waistcoat and accidentally falls into a large rabbit hole under a tree.
She emerges in a forest where she is greeted by the White Rabbit, the Dormouse, Tweedledum and Tweedledee ...and other strange creatures.
Alice’s adventure carries on from there.
Howdy redheadpei! thanks for that great introduction, it does sound more interesting now! I remember when the Johnny Depp movie came out and it looked like such a bizarre affair but the original book is such a classic. I'll read it sometime.
