Ruling The Roost

As his usual after dinner ritual, Claude was stretched out on his favorite chair in front of a roaring TV. He was dead to the world with a firm grip on the TV converter.

On the evening of their 25th anniversary Flo looked at her snoring husband,

”So much for watching my show as his nibs has rule of the TV.

Throughout their marriage Claude had provided a good life for his family. Flo, being a young bride had let him rule the roost. Her entire marriage life was devoted to making sure everything was to his satisfaction to what food they ate to what they did for entertainment.

Now the two children were out of the house and living their own life, she wanted some life for herself. Flo puts on her new jeans and a cute top she found at the second-hand store and adds a few touches of makeup to her face.

It was now 6:30 and Flo phoned her neighbour to tell her she would pick her up in five minutes. The Bingo game at the local Lion’s club started at 7.
