Hello, my fellow @steemians! How are you today? I just one to share with some who experience depression.

Last Monday, I was sad when one of my former students in the other university who was really good in the class was gone. When one of the students posted on the social media that they lost a good friend and former classmates which they did not expect ended his life of #depression. I was shocked as well knowing the reason for his loss.

Depression is one of the many reasons for death in the Philippines most especially the millennials. Last semester, there is also one senior high student lost his life for the same reason.

According to study that it will happen to males mostly because they are not open anytime when they have encounter challenges and problems in life. It is even considered as a real illness that impacts the brain and a serious condition that tends to end one's life. It also affects the four areas of human being such as mental, emotional, social, and the physical health as a whole. In most cases, the millennials cannot handle stress.

Everyone undergoes depression, but there is a need for us to recover from it. We need to take care yourself that we are able to manage depression.

TIPS

• Educating yourself;
• Sleep at least 6-8 hours a day;
• Exercise;
• Eat healthy and nutritious foods;
• Positive self-talk;
• Join a community;
• Constant communications with family;
• Engage with positive and open-minded persons.
• Coping at work; and
• Have a divine providence.
