With their hair dancing in the wind like flowers of a cherry tree in full blossom and their entire bodies rocking softly with the train below them, all effects suddenly wore off. They regained full consciousness and were back to their old selves in a blink of an eye.
Both surprised and in shock about what just happened they jolted up and climbed out of the cart and back into the compartment between the wagons before even wiping the foam from their mouths. They looked at each other with such surprise their eyes were almost out of their sockets and just stared at each other, speechless. They couldn’t make out what had really happened, they just knew there was something special about the ore and were then even more interested in what it was used for.
They nodded at each other in a silent agreement to never succumb to the ore again or speak about its effects then stared off into the vast nothingness around them. They lost track of time and had no idea about how long they have already been driving for – it could’ve just as easily have been five minutes, or fifty.
