Chapter 11
“It’s just to the left here, about a hundred feet. Want to pass me the Cryosatane?”
“Listen, can you give us about ten minutes to have a look around? Get to know the streets.” James handed him over the glowing jar of Cryosatane. “See if there’s any guards in vicinity.”
“The nearest is by the bank, about five hundred feet to the right from here. Then it’s the two guards by the gate, and that’s it. It’s a quiet town of just scientists. Don’t need much protection here.” Gordon chuckled.
“I see.” James nodded, visibly pleased with the information he had just been given. Even then, however, he still wanted to have a look around the streets, just to make sure, and to get familiar with the area before shooting starts. “Ten minutes, okay?”
“Alright.” Gordon checked his pocket watch and it read 4.47 pm. “I’ll make the delivery when the bell rings five p.m.”
“Sounds good. Take care now, future king.” James smiled at him and offered him his hand.
“See you in a bit.” Tom also shook his hand before the two departed on their way.
A silent “good luck” by Gordon marked an epilogue to their conversation.
