Century Plant Starter Kit

Today I'm going to post about items needed to get a healthy century plant growing in your yard.
My century plant starter kit consists of a century plant and a shovel. I may have an advantage at getting century plants, as my neighbor puts out starter pots everytime he thins out his cactus garden.
He usually puts three or four plants in a pot, as shown in the photo above.
I usually separate the plants into individual pots so they can get a nice root ball. Once the plant looks like the second photo, filling the pot, it is ready to transplant.
Find a suitable area in your yard where pets don't roam, as these plants have very sharp needles. Also, they will grow to over a six foot circumference.
Now dig a hole deep enough to hold the complete root ball. Now water and forget where you planted it. Come back in two months and if it's still green, water again.
Very important, it's a cactus, leave it alone!
