After being fired from his job, Billy was cleaning out his desk of the thirteen years of clutter, that he had accumulated while working at Sparkys.
Sparkys wasn't like those big corporations that escort the employee to the parking lot, late on a Friday afternoon.
Sparkys was a small business and it was having financial problems, so Billy and a few other employees were given their pink slips.
As Billy headed out to the dumpster to throw his trash away, he noticed that the dumpster was smolthering. He dropped his trash and heading inside to pull the fire alarm.
By the time the fire department arrived, the dumpster was in a full blaze. The Captain asked Billy if he saw anyone hanging around the dumpster when he came outside.
Billy said no. It was very suspicious that the dumpster was on fire when all these people were being let go.
Billy finished his desk cleaning and headed home. When he got there his garbage cans were on fire. He grabbed the water hose and put them out.
Billy went inside and told his wife about his day. She was amazed that Billy finally cleaned something.

That really amused me: of all his accomplishments for the day, his wife was impressed because he cleaned something. He must have been a very untidy person.
