The law and order in San Antonio sometimes makes me wonder why they create ordinances that nobody will enforce. We have a no texting and driving law in San Antonio, but I see it happening all the time on the roads. The Chief of Police announced that they would not pursue "porch pirates", people who steal packages off your front porch. Today the Sheriff and the Chief of Police had words about a pursuit that happened last night, where one of the Chiefs officer was injured. The Sheriff department had a TV crew from the show "Cops" on a ride along, and he thought that's why the pursuit happened. I personally don't think they should have aired their differences in the news, but it's too late now. I'm sure we haven't heard the end of this excitement, especially if the officer can not return to work. I know police officers do not receive the respect that they did in years past, but they're usually the first call you make when we need help. Everybody have a safe weekend, I'm still trying to get into the groove of being home.

It seems corruption is running rampant in America anymore. Looks like the people who are running things in San Antonio are now fully advancing that narrative by not doing what's right, and by not enforcing the law.
You're preaching what I'm thinking @free-reign 👍
Law is sometimes there to just be a reason to punish someone when things go extremely wrong :)
Well...funny things like these happen all the time. No matter the place, that's the never ending cycle of community life, lol.
So true @lilacse, thanks for stopping by. 🙏

They actually have porch pirates? That's pretty creepy.
Yes, it's pretty sad. Most of the time they watch the culprits steal your package through their doorbell cameras.

That's terrible!
Although, it's Texas. Why don't people open a door and stick a rifle in their face?
Im sure 90% would if they were home when the thieves struck. 😁

ha ha yeah, I'm sure that's true.
That's a nice write up. We should always respect them no matter what because they're there to help us when crimes happen. Thanks for sharing this and have a great day!
