Awakening

You're real, vibrant alive.
You left off old ways,
You are you.
It's unnecessary to
change your thoughts;
Speak or act.
You're genuine in all you
have become.
Freedom is so intoxicating
as roles reverse
and time elevates to
breathtaking heights.
How did you lose for so long?
Life is ripe for taking
and fear a past model of
shapeshifting;
a draining charade.
You've relinquished a dying
masquerade.
Time once stolen is
no more your keeper
but avenging spirit
unleashed, unpardonable
no more forsaken;
revel in the morning
basking in sunlight.
A soul unleashed is
a heart awakened.
