The Passage - Freewrite Poetry
The Passage
Something about her whispered summer moonlight stretching upon still water.
Her face blushing in rays of morning sun,
her eyes sparkle cornflower blue as wildflowers growing beside the brook
she runs in barefoot abandon
through meadow and lane
meeting wildlife in the forest.
that stop to watch her play.
She seldom speaks
but often laughs.
Her tinkling voice,
a sudden summer rain
in her easy, carefree way.
She passes with innocent abandon
strangers along the way
and dips her face
with secret smiles,
'neath auburn curls in disarray.
A waif, a child,
a women
became
a memory painting
a simpler day.
