Alaskan agates and
jasper found on the
beaches of Cook inlet
along the Kenai peninsula
over the years
Yep, these are the best
of the best. Many different
long walks looking down.
Found a couple marbles
also some green glass.
Silver dollar for scale is
one and a half inches across.
The translucent white
one looks like a
negative of a tektite.
I wonder what the
dark green one is.
Rock shadows all
in a row, sunny rocks.
As a agate looks on
the beach with the
other rocks.
The view on green
grass on a summers day.
Blocking the sun
from shining on the stones.
Rock colored glasses

Wow! Those are all so beautiful together! It does look better than candy! But the best part is that you found them!
Aren't they a trip! We have found so many over
the years. Twenty some years of looking and
then some. Had two big 6 gallon buckets full!
I gave a friend about 90% of them, she made
a awesome patio area and put them in the
oversized gaps between the slabs of other
stones. Loose fill so she could still pick them
up lol
Oh, I bet you love visiting her patio and knowing that all of those Beauties are ones that you picked up! What a good use for them.

The ovals I'm not sure if they are Spirit stones or not.
I will be taking a few of these stones to the local rock man
and find out lol

I'm not sure along the river areas but all along
the Cook inlet beaches, from Homer to Anchorage
and across the water where the volcanoes are.
You have some amazing rocks in there! Some day I will need to get to Alaska...and on my to do list will be looking for agates! Thank you for sharing these!
Quite a few interesting ones in other parts of the
state we seen in the rock shop. Many are found
where you have to fly into a remote area to
obtain them, no roads. Easier at the rock shop!

Flying into a remote area would mean they wouldn't be picked over. That sounds fun! :)

howdy again shasta! well normally I'm not a huge fan of rocks because most of them just look like a solid brown or tan or something but those there are amazing, I could get interested in those! lol.

Incredible how many you have found. This is wonderful collection.
Totally! Over the years we've found quite a
few, perhaps 1000's. One day the best ever we
counted 200 found, small and not as outstanding
as the ones pictured. These special ones are like
one in 200 found. Or the days we find just one
or two and maybe it might be one them eye
poppers. Not to many times have we not
found any. On those days is when the jaspers
stand out more.
