Dancer in the Ice - Photo Fun Contest - Week 18 – “Frozen” Photography

Thanks to the contest of @caludiaz with topic #frozenphotography I went to look for this photograph that I did a couple of years ago. It was a pretty cold winter, and it happened quite often to find frozen water looking around. In this case I passed near a gate, and through the "mesh" I noticed this piece of ice.

Looking closer, I thought I saw a skater on the ice: from the back, one leg resting on the ground, one up and the arms raised horizontally.
The cut of the photo gave me the idea of a window. The pale winter sun in front has strengthened the silhouette and revealed the reflections inside the ice.

Grazie al contest di @caludiaz con argomento #frozenphotography sono andato a ripescare questa fotografia che ho fatto un paio di anni fa. È stato un inverno abbastanza freddo, e capitava abbastanza spesso di trovare acqua congelata guardandosi intorno. In questo caso passavo vicino ad un cancello, e attraverso le "maglie" ho notato questo pezzo di ghiaccio.

Guardando meglio mi è sembrato di vederci una pattinatrice sul ghiaccio: di spalle, una gamba apppoggiata a terra, una alzata verso l'alto e le braccia alzate in orizzontale.
Il taglio della foto mi dava l'idea di una finestra. Il pallido sole invernale di fronte ha rafforzato la silhouette e rivelato i riflessi all'interno del ghiaccio.
