Last weekend, my neighbor Agustina Suazo invited me to her vernissage, she is a wonderful, talented artist from Chile. She made her education in Mexico and Chile.

She has already made many exhibitions, such as in the USA, Italy, Germany and also Austria. In Vienna, she also met her current husband, who comes from Burgenland. At the same time you bought and renovated an old farmhouse in the same village as we did.

Agostina asked me if I could do something for the buffet, of course I did not say no, But since I could not go to the supermarket anymore, I had to see what ingredients I had at home and there I found a lot.

Pizza Muffins

Ingredients dough:

  • 300 g of flour
  • 21 g of fresh yeast
  • 150 ml of lukewarm water
  • ยฝ tsp sugar
  • 30 ml of olive oil
  • ยฝ tsp salt
  • pepper
  • 1 teaspoon oregano or thyme, dried

plus a few ingredients that you like best, here are a few examples
1 piece smoked sausage vegan
150 g of grated cheese vegan
red pointed paprika
dried tomatoes, preserved in oil
olives
Hot peppers or chili
onions

A delicious recipe, which you can prepare well. The pizza muffins are good party snacks that you can refine with your favorite ingredients.

Crumble the yeast into a bowl. Add a little water and sugar and dissolve yeast. Add flour, oil, salt, pepper, oregano and knead with the remaining water to a smooth yeast dough. Cover the dough covered and let it rise for at least 30 minutes until at least doubling.

In the meantime prepare the ingredients for the filling. Cut into small cubes, rub the cheese.

Knead the ingredients into the dough.

Grease 12 large or 24 small muffin molds (I have chosen the small, fingerfood molds).

Divide the dough into 12 or 24 portions, shape small balls and place them in the muffin tin. Let the dough rest for about 20 minutes and then bake at 220 ยฐ C for about 20-25 minutes.

Last minute puff pastry sticks

If you want to do something spontaneous on the fly, these puff pastry sticks are just right. With only a few ingredients and little time you can make this delicious finger food.

preparation

For the onion sticks, coat a sheet of puff pastry with cream cheese (vegan). Sprinkle with roasted, dried onion. Season with salt and pepper.

Place a second sheet of dough over it and press it down a little. Halve the dough lengthways and then cut strips about 2 cm thick.

Turn these with your hands 2-3 times and put it on a baking sheet covered with baking paper with a little distance. Bake in preheated oven at 200 ยฐ C for about 12-15 minutes.

These onion sticks were THE hit on the Vernissage, everyone grabbed these delicious, spicy sticks, they taste particularly good with wine or sparkling wine. But everything else was eaten very much!

And last but not least, I prepared a vegan liver spread sausage.

You need the following ingredients:

  • 250 g boiled kidney beans
  • 200 g smoked tofu
  • 1 onion
  • 2 KL garlic granules
  • 3 KL marjoram
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • oil

preparation:

Fry the beans, onion and tofu for 5 minutes in a little oil, add the spices and fry for another 1 minute. Pour the bean mixture into a blender and mix to a creamy mass, finish a delicious spread!

The Vernissage was a great success for my dear neighbor, it was wonderful weather and many visitors.
