It’s always for the Gold.

Last night was movie night 🎥. The film was Sugar Colt (1966).

Light hearted comedy, at first, for this Western (called #spaghetti because it was filmed and/or produced in either Italy or Spain). Although most films of these types are made to APPEAR that they took place in the American Southwest or Mexico.

Dialog is in English and the story builds fast. Lots of action. Comedy aside, it was still a gritty Euro Western with lots of shoot outs. (The English dub version was quite alright).

Without giving away spoilers, this film is about an undercover agent sent by the US government to retrieve 130 US military sharpshooters being held hostage for ☝️ one million dollars 💰in gold! (Quite a hell of a lot for the economy in those days!)

Unusual for its type, it even has something for the girls. A happy ending. Also, not the norm in Italian/Spanish or Asian Action Films, for that matter.
