Ivan, Shana and Dan receive their Community Service Volunteer Certificates

This week, @mr-greens wrapped-up the distribution of Earth Rangers Volunteer Certificates and School gifts.
Once more, want to thank @fundition and @adollaraday as well as our more than 2000 Backers who are supporting the Steemit Action Summer Holiday Program also known as the Earth Rangers Summer Holiday Program.
We closed the award of certificates Ivan, Dan and Shanna who happen to be brothers.

The three of them effectively participated in all the activities of the Earth Rangers Summer Holiday Program and some of their favorite activities were the plastic drive and the upcyling of plastic bottles to produce vertical gardens and tree planting.

Some of the major accomplishments of the Earth Rangers of the Steemit Action Summer Holiday Program (SASH-Program) include;

• Planted 1000 trees in the Sacred Forest of Nkwen Palace, Chomba Community Forest and St Dominic Monastery
• Organized a plastic drive and collected 2105 Plastic bottles which were later on recycled into tree nursery pots (UPB Tree Pots), umbrella buckets, vertical gardens, etc
• Nursed 500 trees
• Produced 50 crafts (bracelets) with environmental advocacy messages
• Learned about environmental issues and sensitized more than 10,000 people to take environmental protection action

The Greens is a grassroots environmental organization that strives to educate, inspire and engage young people to take action to combat climate change and be at the forefront of biodiversity conservation and waste management.
Founded in 2010, @thegreens have been able to use arts, sports, media and ICT to educate and engage more than 10,000 young people in Green Poetry, Green Music, Green Arts, Green Radio, and Conservation Champions League.
@thegreens have created 04 Community Tree Nurseries, planted more than 200,000 trees and is currently engaged in the Conservation of the Bamenda Highlands Forests.
@thegreens is currently engaged in Waste Management (Waste Business Hub); Plastic Waste Upcycling, Tire Upcycling and Textile Waste Recycling via @ecodesigns
