It may sound difficult to believe for some you who may be coming from the more developed countries where eye care is predominate and a part of the day to day routine but in some of the developing countries like ours, a individual may end having up having his first ocular examination at the age of 35, 40, 45 years and above and most often than not they would be reporting with a condition that may have progressed to the point of vision deterioration that may even be difficult to save. The issue has to do with both education on the subject and also predominantly poverty. The poor die young indeed, we can rephrase that by saying the poor loss their vision in the developing world, simply because they cant afford to have routine eye examinations unless something is wrong and even that they may wait till the point of serious progression.

It is for these reasons and may more why the Student Representative Body decided on this and why we were so proud to support the course by offering free eye screening service to the students. What better way to serve humanity than to provide @bettervision. Charity does begin at home.
