Flood Relief in South Indian state of Kerala - Update 21 - 13/Sep/2018

This is the 21st update post for the Fundition.io project I have created with regards to the fundraising for flood relief activities in the form of the donations to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund in the South Indian State of Kerala.

Updates for today:
One of Kerala taluks, Nedumangadu has raised as much as INR 4.25 Crore Rupees for the flood relief in just 3 hours which is commendable and shows people are willing to donate for the good cause.
One of the opposite party MLA raised concerns over Kerala Government's decision to pressurize Government officials to donate their one month salary to Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund, as there seems to be like officials are asking government employees to give out a written statement if they are unwilling to donate their one month salary.
Meanwhile, there are reports that the rivers have dried up after recent flood situation and this is a concern for people as the sudden dry up of rivers and also dip in water levels will be a point of worry for people as this might lead up to drought situation in the future after the massive flood.
Below is a picture of the dried up river Chalakudy, which is the fifth largest river in Kerala and flows across Thrissur, Palakkad and Ernakulam districts.
The government of Kerala has sought about INR 4700 Crore Rupees worth compensation from Indian Government as part of the damages caused by recent flood.
As the people are still struggling to get back to normal life after the floods, an MP from Kerala has suggested to use the gold and wealth of 3 temples of Kerala. The MP says, that government should use the wealth from temples Padmanabha, Guruvayur and Sabarimala for helping the needy people at this worst situation as the combined wealth of these 3 temples is over INR 1 Lakh Crore Rupees and the estimated loss due to flood is of INR 21,000 Crore Rupees.
Updates on Donations and Support:
The project has received 612$ out of the designated goal of 1500$ and I am truly thankful all those who are contributing generously and @fundition's support is invaluable for this project.

It is nice to see that flood is giving up, but as often after you may have a dry period, which is also a disaster for people living there. In general very tough situation and respect and support to your project. Hopefully it will be help, it is only a drop in an ocean but every tiny help counts. Cheers, @Stef1
Thank you @stef1, yes, the flood is gone, but people are feeling the drought now as the rivers have dried up after the flood.
