FungiFriday - Look at my hat!
It is a one nice big hat! With all the textures, colours and patterns. Pity mushrooms are so short-lived. Soon it will decompose and disappear.
They found a lovely place to grow though. Big lawn shaded by Cork oak and Eucalyptus trees. I found a few varieties there, so I guess that place is something mushrooms really like.
Happy growing while you can, little fellas :)

I hope many of you will join as there are only 2 simple rules:
- when Friday comes post your own, original photo/drawing/art/food/anything-at-all of any type of fungi (yes, I will check and report stolen images!)
- add #FungiFriday tag (it doesn't have to be your first tag)
That's all :)

Thank you.
What a beautiful Macrolepiota Procera! Looks so yummy. I used to pick hundreds of those mushrooms a day! There are still few bags of dried ones left, they are always delicious even after years of just sitting in a bag. Gotta hunt for some more soon. ✌🌞
That's what it is? :D Thanks!
I am always worried to pick the ones I am less familiar with. Normally we only pick the small ones with dark brown hats like suede - bay bolete I think they are called in English. Yum yum too and we also dry them, or pickle them.
I am only like 95% sure that it is Procera, but you should always check, it is not good to judge a mushroom by picture. Take some spore prints and see, but it probably is the one i think it is. Buon appetite
Nice photo !
