Castle of San Antonio de la Eminencia

Hello @tatjanastan, I live in Venezuela, Cumaná, Sucre state. Cumaná is the oldest city among those that still exist, of the cities founded on the continental part of the American continent. It was founded in 1515, as a result of the utopia of a handful of Dominican and Franciscan friars headed by the friars Pedro de Córdoba and Antonio de Montesinos, who dreamed of a peaceful evangelization, without the presence of soldiers and merchants.

The most beautiful part of the city where I live is the historic center, which is on the highest part. There is the Castle of San Antonio de la Eminencia, which is a fortification built in the seventeenth century, between the years of 1659 and 1686, and is one of the most representative icons that the state of Sucre proudly possesses. From there you can see that the whole city. It is a beautiful place full of history.

The castle was the most important fortress that protected Cumaná, at that time it was the most sophisticated castle in terms of façade. This castle is connected to the city by means of tunnels and passages that today are not operational due to the earthquakes that the city has suffered. For me, it is the most beautiful part of my city.

My city is srinagar in indian state of jammu kashmir.
Srinagar is the largest city and the summer capital of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It lies in the Kashmir Valley on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus, and Dal and Anchar lakes. The city is famous for its natural beauty, gardens, waterfronts and houseboats. It is also known for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and dried fruits. It is the northernmost city of India with over 1 million people.

Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip garden, previously Model Floriculture Center, is a tulip garden in Srinagar, India. It is the largest tulip garden in Asia spread over an area of about 30 hectares. It is situated on the foothills of Zabarwan Range with an overview of Dal Lake. The garden is built on a sloping ground in a terraced fashion consisting of seven terraces. Apart from tulips, many other species of flowers - hyacinths, daffodils and ranunculus have been added as well

I currently live in Warsaw. I can assure you when I came here, I did not like the city. Before this I was living in France and not in a great town either.

Then with passage of time and experiences (both good and bad) I accepted Warsaw and made my peace with it. But in the past few months I started to leave my residence more and more and became a little outdoorsy. It was like a journey that started casually but soon started to feel like my own. It was then that I fell in love with the city of Warsaw. One step at a time, literally :-)

It is very difficult for me to choose the part of Warsaw that I like the most. In fact I had to put a lot of thought in it so as to reach a decision.

Old Town area is the place I like the most in the city of Warsaw. It is one place that I never get tired of. One place where I can go again & again and yet would want to visit next day. That is the paramount reason that I choose Old town area as my favorite place in Warsaw.

Old town or 'Stare Miasto' as you would say in Polski has a very old history. We can trace the history of the area to as far as one thousand years ago but the real settlements began around thirteenth century and it all started with the old town. Be it the myth of mermaid Sawa and the fisherman or the Royal Castle of the Duke.

As common with the cities of old, Warsaw is on the banks of a famous river called Vistula. Since old town is the beginning of the city thus it too lies on the banks of Vistula. It is a dual pleasure to come back here and stand along both the nature and the city.

Old town area is the cultural heart of the City of Warsaw. It is to the city of Warsaw as is Krakow is to Poland. When I come here I see old buildings that have been around for hundreds of years and will hopeful be there long after we are gone (keep in mind that much of it was destroyed in the Warsaw uprising and rebuild after WWII).

It has become my habit to go there sometimes in the evenings and night, to escape the noise. One would think that it would be filled with people and it is true but you'd be surprised by how many areas are there in this small part of the city that you'll find yourself alone in. I say alone but not lonely, because those old streets almost speak of their story and keep me company.

I am sorry that I mostly went with history. It is because history is my passion and it resonates with the place, particularly when I go there. I have read the history of the area and when I go there I am reminded of it. As if the streets talk and remind you of their past.

If you come to Warsaw and find where the heart of the city rests then come to the old town area. You will also find a piece if my heart there too :-)

Hello @tatjanastan. I present to you one of the many beauties that my country has. Venezuela. Laguna de Chacopata.

Chacopata, is a community located in the Municipality of Cruz Salmerón Acosta of Sucre State, Venezuela. This is a small and picturesque town located about 50 km from Cariaco, in front of Coche Island. The area is very arid and lacks vegetation.

The small town has a beautiful lagoon occupied by sea birds (flamingos, herons and pelicans) called Laguna de Chacopata, which constitutes a natural reserve of flora and fauna. It also has a large orange sand beach nestled in a bay of shallow water.

In front of the beach, about 5 minutes by boat, there is an islet with a small solitary beach, which can be reached by negotiating with the fishermen of the bay. The whole region is suitable for hunting and fishing.

Greetings, @tatjanastan. Responding to today's challenge, I dare to assure you that the most beautiful part of my city: Cumaná-Venezuela, is its "San Luis" Beach, which bathes the entire edge of the city, being a very important tourist attraction. This beach gives us the most spectacular sunsets that anyone can imagine. Its fine sand extends throughout the Cumana coastline and its sea is a source of work for the Sucrense fisherman, who supports his family thanks to his love relationship with the sea that saw him born.
Thus, the San Luis beach is practically an emblem that identifies the city of Cumaná in Venezuela. . I'm talking about twilights like this and tell me if you do not fall in love with this view.
