New TULIP Mania Token Game - Start Time and Date - 250 Free TULIPs Contest 5 [CONTEST CLOSED]
In case you missed it, yesterday I announced the start date and time of this TULIP Mania Game.
Let me just repeat it.
The first phase of the TULIP Mania Game will start at 13:00 UTC on the 8th August 2019.
One thing I find slightly amusing is how some people are already trading their TULIP tokens. Let's see if they have made a wise choice.
Three things will happen on Thursday.
Early in the day I shall post the game rules and information. Please read them carefully. Writing down rules always looks more complicated than actually playing a game, but there are also some important pieces of information. I will answer any questions in the comments, but expect a "read the post" reply if the answer is... in the post.
Then, just before launching Phase One, I shall publish a "starting gun" post announcing the official start of the TULIP Game. This may not seem overly necessary but it allows me to quote the time of the post and send out any informational comments. I shall also signal when the last price-point has been created.
Oh yea, the third thing is to actually... finally... start the TULIP Mania Game.
Good to see that the contests are nearly all closed and all prizes distributed. This will be the last pre-game prize contest; I hope you have enjoyed the questions. I now feel I need to find a completely new theme for the next game.

TULIP Contest Question 5
Dutch auctions are not only used to sell batches of flowers. The above vintage photo shows a rural Dutch auction, with the characteristic clock still used today, albeit often digitised.
The question is:
What product, inside the basket, is being auctioned?
Easy!
The first correct answer will receive 50 TULIPs for free.
The next 10 correct answers will receive 20 TULIPs each.

Cherries. The clock tracks price when the price hits a certain point the clock shows 0 and the auction stops.
