Now that I got your attention, you got any tips for me as a fellow steemit user? I'm at rep 48, but I don't think i've grown at all lol

Reputation score growth becomes harder and harder with each level. It's an oddly complex calculation (log base 10, subtract 9, multiply by 9, add 25 from your RAW score)... but in short... each level is about 30% harder to achieve than the previous one.
To get from 48 to 49, you need the same amount of score increase as needed get from 25 to 39... so don't despair... 48 is "solid".
In short: The way to increase your rep is to 'post "quality" content' and get more votes... and it's gonna take longer and longer to level up with each new level.
P.S. I speak under correction, but I think your score also increases when you curate content early (i.e. find a gem post, upvote it early and hope a lot of people/whales also vote on it. ... but don't quote me on that ;-)
