Tencent Release PUBG Mobile Emulator for PC, Could This Be the Future of Gaming?

Yep. Tencent have just released an emulator for PUBG Mobile. This emulator lets players enjoy the mobile game but on their computers using a mouse and keyboard. If you are in a similar boat as me, your computer is just not quite powerful enough to run PUBG, then you are in luck with this emulator.

I have tried PUBG Mobile using Bluestacks, an Android emulator, and found it to be annoying trying to use the mouse to emulate the look and right fire button. Considering my laptop has a touch screen, I tried keyboard and touch screen and this was almost as uncomfortable as using the mouse.

Now Tencent have fixed that problem and given players an emulator to enjoy the game with mouse and keyboard controls. This is awesome.

Players on PC will prosper, right?

No. You will only be able to play against others that are also on their PC using mouse and keyboard controls. That means, you will not have an unfair advantage against players that are on mobile devices (or is that the other way around?).

Is this the future of gaming?

While mobile devices are getting more powerful, sometimes able to produce games that can stand toe to toe with console and PC games, this custom emulator thing could definitely change the landscape. The way Tencent did it is much more than how Square Enix handled their port of Chrono Trigger to Steam.
