Rise & Shine, absolutely completely non-stop
This game is beautiful, challenging and tense... All the damn time. It sounds like I'm nittypicking, I know that, but boy does this game leave you no room to breath. One action-packed hardcore fight after the other, all game long. It's fun, but it's also tiring.
Playing this made me think of Mega Man games where you waste a lot of time running around from room to room, giving you some time to think about what you're doing during some light parkour. I didn't realize how having a transition between moments of action is so important up until now.
In Rise & Shine, after you beat an enemy, you take maybe 10 steps and you're already fightning for your life again. It's not like a sidescrolling space shooter where you also focus on the enemy patterns, time your shots and grab some power ups. There's no enjoying the scenery.
Kill or be killed in this frantic action-platformer. It really feels like that's all there is to this game. It is damn beautiful, but I don't have time to enjoy the ride. I still recommend it for it's beauty to anyone who's up for the run'n'gunning.
