This is something I haven't seen in a while. An easy, but fun game relying on simple jumps and combat. You don't have to quadruple jump while dodging thousands of bullets and performing special attacks! All you have to do is walk up to the slimes and slash your sword at them. Too simple? It's okay, because the focus is getting through the level itself.

Each level is a joyful ride with upbeat retro music playing in the background, which will keep you interested to beat the section you're in despite the biggest challenge being only a little bit of parkour, at least in the early levels. There are bosses too, but they're not complicated and the game will even give you tips on how to beat them if necessary.

The story doesn't take itself too seriously, so despite being such a cliche, it's still fun to follow. The villagers you meet are very unique and although you don't get to know them that much, it's nice to see how colorful both the town and it's people are. Even the darker levels bring a good amount of fluffy to the table!

The game does offer a good variety in gameplay, giving you a chance to cast different specials, face various bosses and traps. You may get caught in a bug or two, bt they're very scarce. I did manage to die by getting stuck in this vertical moving platform, but I was fine other than that.
