The steem blockchain is perfect for esports

in #gaming5 years ago

No matter if it's casual play or prized tournaments, it's easy to reward participants through upvotes, sbi shares or just steem/sbd. Viewers can follow matches through Vimm or even the regular Twitch and YouTube streams, support their favorite players through upvotes and get easily social with the community.

Considering there are many free tools to organize competitions nowadays, such as Challonge, Battlefly and Discord, it is very easy to pick up any kind of turn-based game or anything that can be played worldwide without being heavily affected by internet response delay due to distance, commonly known as lag.

Doing this is also very good for steem as a whole, because being known as a platform every can host or join gaming sessions and earn from it will surely be attractive. It's a use case.

Which is why I'm making a new account with a big esports announcement - but don't worry, casual players can earn just for trying it out. Expect to read more about this in the next few days!
