Pokemon Go: Gengar Raid Day Announced

As the Pokemon Go Halloween Event comes to an end, Niantic has announced a special raid day on Saturday November 3rd to cap the Event. As with past Raid Days, the Pokemon will appear in all gyms for a three hour period. This time, the featured Pokemon will be the Ghost type, Gengar. Gengar continues to be the strongest Ghost type Pokemon which is why it should interest some of the hardcore trainers.

Similar to previous Raid Day events, after defeating Gengar in each Raid, there is a possibility that his Shiny form could appear. If like previous Raid Days, the appearance of a Shiny Gengar should guarantee its catch. What is still uncertain is weather the other evolutions of the Gengar type of Pokemon will also become available in game. I think this is a great way to finalize the Halloween event as it has been a couple of months since the last Raid Day.

Lastly, they are also implementing free raid passes for the first five spins who do at gyms during the time of the event. This is a great opportunity to gain experience as raid reward a good amount towards the progression for your trainer. It is still to be seen whether the Raid Boss statistics will change for the boss. Previously, Gengar was a three star boss but could be adjusted to accommodate more or less players needed to complete. While not the most impressive Pokemon to have a Raid Day for, it at least provides an event to finalize the Halloween event.
