New Nintendo Switch Coming 2019

Nintendo will be releasing a new version of their popular handheld console, the Nintendo Switch, next year. The report released by The Wall Street Journal is claiming that this new version is aimed to increase the momentum of sales of the Switch, which was originally released in 2017. So what might the features of this new version be for those interested in getting their hands on the new Switch?

According to the report, Nintendo has not yet made any decisions on the new software and features that would be included in the new version of the Switch. However, the report claims that the new model would "share many features with the current version". Nintendo is also aiming to make it "brighter, thinner and more energy efficient".

The report by The Wall Street Journal contends that the release of a new model of the switch is aimed to increase sales. While sales of the Switch are still fairly strong, the inspiration for the new model is to "boost momentum" of the console's sales which have reportedly slowed in the last financial year.

With little known about the proposed new model of the Nintendo Switch at this stage, it is difficult to say exactly what will be included, but an "LED screen" is a likely feature.
