Nintendo Labo VR in Mario Odyssey and Zelda BotW?

Nintendo's Labo VR was recently announced with a few features shown off a little bit later- however, today, Nintendo dropped a bombshell of information that will likely get people who were disinterested in Labo VR to be on board day one with these two new Nintendo First Party Patches. Nintendo just dropped the news that Labo VR will have compatibility with Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, both for the Nintendo Switch. The first thing they showed off was the three mini missions in Mario Odyssey, which have you as the camera watching on a set scene as Mario as you platform and perform objectives in a small play area. It doesn't seem to be a long experience, but a fun time for any Mario fans who can, for the first time in full 3D (I don't count the Virtual Boy) Play as Mario in VR. That however, wasn't the only thing Nintendo showed off for the Labo VR - and though a cool little time waster, the Zelda Labo VR seems to be more in depth than first glance might suggest.

Though Nintendo VR has normally shown off little experiments rather than full games akin to something you'd find on the PlayStation 4 VR, Nintendo are finally stepping it up by allowing you to become the camera in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. From how Nintendo are marketing it, it seems like the entirety of Breath of the Wild is playable in VR as an option in the main menu - not requiring a new save file to access the feature. If this is the case, this is the big selling point that Nintendo needed to make Labo a success. If you are interested in picking up a Labo to experience these newly announced patches, Labo VR is planned for a release in late April - with a release date to be released soon.
