Zombie Adventure - Game 34 - Day 11 (Feb. 12, 2019)

in #gaming5 years ago

Do you enjoy earning Steem? Wish you got in at the start?

There is a new platform (called Narrative) taking members in small batches that is similar in structure to ONO with moderators who are elected by the public. If you want to get in at the ground floor, claim a spot in the wait list here. (They give everyone that signs up a referral link and this is mine. Each referral earns 9 NRVE and the top 10 referrers get to split a prize of some more NRVE. It's a good way to earn coins even before the platform is open for business.) You can now begin adding content so that when they open, they already have some material to look at.

Airdrop coins!!!

Did you get your free airdrop ByteBalls yet? ($10 - $160 depending on your rank here in Steem)
Go to https://steem-byteball.org/# dropdown-toggle="#popDWJNHPCNWYZQ5OZTLMRBRHR353KNLYXN">DWJNHPCNWYZQ5OZTLMRBRHR353KNLYXN to download your wallet. Once installed, follow these instructions to get your money. Note that you no longer need a sponsor to lend you money for the attestation (that part has been eliminated), just click the bot's instructions to prepare your address for sending in a reply and click the SEND button in the wallet.

Oy yoy yoy! Too many failed attacks!

Clearly the stress is getting to me...

Got any snow where you are? LOL

We got quite the dump of snow here yesterday (1st real snowfall this year) and I shoveled snow for 4 hours. It snowed again last night, so I can now go and get more exercise. It is a good stress reliever.

I was wondering if I had put snow tires on the car for nothing, but now it has made the tire change worthwhile.

We did... it was so pretty!

We got maybe 2 inches on Saturday and a little bit Sunday morning... but it pretty much started raining Sunday night and hasn't let up yet. It was super icy on Monday morning, but now everything is just very, very wet.

We've got a steep driveway, and we had a big removalist type truck here yesterday morning... they got about 10 metres up the driveway, and then slid back 20 metres, completely out of control. So, they had to reverse back as far as they could and just gun it up the hill, they managed to grab a non-icy section of the drive just in time... it was amazing to watch.

We've got a Forrester which has all-weather tires... we're so glad to have it, it's saved us so many times.

SNOW in California? Wow!!
Another 4.5 hours of shoveling for me today. My driveway is like 3 of my neighbour's driveways. The snow has finally stopped falling and it is now warming up. I just hope it doesn't freeze tonight or this whole area will become a skating rink! Time will tell.

I have a Forester too... Love it. Did some sliding around in a mall parking lot just to keep up my driving skills (and have a bit of fun). Not too many cars in the lot with all the snow, so a safe place to toss the car into a few slides. Even snow tires and all-wheel-drive can only do so much. However, slamming on the brakes still stopped the car in short order and in a straight line with the ABS chattering like crazy.

Ahhhhhh, I'm actually in Oregon near Portland... I'm just a 50 minute flight from Vancouver BC so I imagine we'd have fairly similar weather.

Hahaha, the very first time I used the ABS was so weird... it actually feels like the car is broken, but it is amazing technology. Portland really has more ice than snow, the temperature rarely dips below freezing, and the Forrester does really well in the ice. I've seen those big huge 4WDs really struggle in areas where the Forrester has no problems at all.

Oh! I wonder why I thought you were in California? Maybe you were there before? Of course it could be I'm just totally mixing things up.

It is amazing how little changes can make a huge difference. When I was young I owned a Chevrolet 3/4 ton pick-up truck. It was horrible in snow and could get stuck on almost flat ground (when the box was empty and there was no weight on the rear axle). I tried dumping a bunch of firewood into the box to gain some weight and (wow!!!) what a difference that made. I was able to weave my way up hills that the taxi cabs with their studded tires were stuck on. I was worried about dodging them as I wiggled my way past those staggered along the roadway, but as long as I kept moving steadily, I seemed to have no problem at all.

The Subi all-wheel-drive system is pretty amazing. I owned a WRX for a few years and that was a fun car to drive. I recall one rainy morning where a Corvette wanted so badly to leave me in the dust spray, but just couldn't get enough traction to do it. Light after light after light, the corvette driver tried in vain to find the right balance between acceleration and grip, but was always left behind by my little 4-cylinder car. I would simply jump out ahead each time the light turned green, leaving the 8-cylinder powerhouse eating my spray as it spun its wheels. I actually felt sorry for the other driver, but it was fun at the same time.

How close are you to Oregon Caves? If you have never been there and you like nature, I recommend checking it out. Lots of beautiful rock formations. It is a big cave, but you can only go in with a guide. That cave is a walking tour.

If you want something a bit more adventuresome, check out Horne Lake Caves on Vancouver Island. We had to slither through a hole that had water pumped out of it just before we went through and fat people would not fit through it. That was some years ago and may have been made bigger now. But the tour requires rope-work, so you get rappelling instructions before the tour begins.

Nooooooooo

Oh yea... this really describes the feeling as the camera pulls away and leaves the guy farther behind. I'm assuming that roll was for an attack and we have been performing dismally in that respect lately. This is why I am running toward the hulks and will try taking THEM out so that we can blow the remaining runners up with the dynamite. There may not be any Molotov Cocktails in this game, but there is still some FIRE and EXPLOSIONS!!!! {Big grin}
