holoz0r's A-Z of Steam: Burn, Zombie Burn

A small game about killing zombies, that isn't Left 4 Dead. Instead you play this dude, pictured below, who has found themselves in the middle of a zombie uprising.

The game plays like a standard algorithm designed to overcome human endurance and patience. It's a preview of what will happens when either the machines, or the zombies take over.

Each successive wave of zombies is stronger, faster, and larger in number than the last. As you kill zombies, you obtain imaginary points, which collect in the top corner of your screen.

As these points accumulate, you unlock medals, and bits of content for the game.

Some health drops as you go along, but not nearly enough to allow you to endure zombie hordes for hours on end. Weapons also appear sporadically, with a shotgun, an uzi, and a chainsaw being multiple inclusions.

I only got the flamethrower to spawn through sheer luck, and it works well to help reign literal fire upon your foes in a zombie burning way, just as the title dictates.

There's lots of blood spread around the map when you finally kill the zombies - and this is a time wasting game - probably best experienced on a mobile phone instead of a fully fledged gaming rig.

This isn't a title I'd prefer to keep in my Steam games library long term, and it represents no significant value in terms of the plethora of video games that can compete for your time and well wishes.

Avoid, just like the zombies that try to kill you in it.
