Tetris

My early life
Tetris was one of the earliest game published. I first came in contact with it a long while ago, I think around 1996, yes it was 1996. I was just Nine years old. My friends and I use to call it brick game, the older kids in the block could afford it, and so whenever they come around, they'd always flaunt their brick game. When they play it, we ( the younger kids ) always gather around them to see them play this lovely game. Sometimes they will tell us to pay a token to have a feel of the game.

In this part of the world, parents hardly buy things like games for their kids, some parents might promise to purchase brick game for their kids if they to do excellently in their studies. This was how some of the kids in my environment got their brick game. As for me, I had a friend whose dad got him a brick game, whenever he comes to school, he brings it along. During the school break time we will sneak to the auditorium (its usually empty) to play this game until break over. We do likewise also after school hours. When the mum realized that he takes the game to school, She seized the game from him. I then told my friend that I will get us a new brick game. After saving my pocket money for a while, I finally got mine.

Tetris is a tile puzzle video game, designed by Alexey pajitnov on june 6 1984, then he was working with Dorodnitsyn computer center in Moscow Russia. Tetris is available on different platforms like Nes, Brick game, Game boy, Familcom, Xbox, PlayStation, Arcade et ce tera.

Awards and Recognition
In 1996 he was named by GameSpot, fourth most influential game developer of all time. He went forth to receive the game developer choice awards on march 7 2007, he was given this award for pioneering the casual game market. He was honored with an award, at the Lara - Der Deutsche Games Award in Cologne German on the 24th of June 2009. Three years later Alexey pajitnov was included in IGN list of five memorable Video Game Industry One-Hit Wonders, where he was called "the ultimate video game one-hit wonder."

Game play
The name Tetris was coined from the Greek numerical prefix tetra because the game pieces contains four segment in different shapes.
Tetriminos is a term used to describe the game piece. When game play is activated, tetriminos of different sizes falls down at random into the playing field, the player then control the tetriminos by moving sideways or by rotating 90 degrees. The games objectives is to manipulate the tetriminos to create a line of ten horizontal tetriminos without gaps. When this is done the completed lines of tetraminos gets wiped out allowing the blocks above the wiped out line to drop. When a certain number of lines are wiped out of the game fields, the game enters into a new level. As the game enters a new level the tetriminos falls faster into the playing field. The player reaches the end of the game when the stack of tetriminos reaches the top of the playing field and no new tetriminos are able to enter into the playing field.

Tetris is one of my all time best game. My childhood was fun with this game.
I loved it.
