Preface

Building a gaming PC is a subtle art and it is very much exciting than playing actual games on it for some people (including myself).

With so many options like choosing from variety of CPUs and Graphics Cards, it can become really troublesome to choose best possible components that will not only give a good performance but also will not cost a lot of money..

Having been tied down with Xbox 360 for better part of 5 years, i have now resorted to go back to my roots i.e. to build a gaming PC, which gives far better performance and can be tweaked as and when required.

Furthermore, the same PC can be utlizied to do heavy video editing, which most of the vloggers love to do..

And when you are not doing any of that, you can put your gaming PC to mine some cryptos (however i dont recommend doing that since it will take the life out of your graphics card even if you are comfortable paying hefty electricity bills).

Selecting Components

I am somewhat in between acquiring new componenets from newegg and will definitely post the final build up once all the components arrive. But for now, i will just stick to component selection:-

1. CPU

AMD Ryzen 2nd gen 2600X - 229$

42644D44-735A-4C32-82B6-BBC6E3A06EB7.jpeg

Alright, this is a beast. It has got 6 cores and 12 threads and a clock speed of 3.6 GHz with option available for turbo boost till 4.2 GHz.
This cpu has higher single core performance compared to intel’s same price chipsets. And it will come come with a wraith spire cooler.

Word of advice though :- this cpu will run extremely hot when overclocked but the good news is that you don’t need to do any overclocking as stock settings are more than enough for even cpu based games.. but if you still want to overclock it then i suggest using aftermarket cooler.

2. Graphics Card

nVidia GTX 1070- 520$

I wanted to pick vega 64 but the price is wayyyy up due to miners’ demands.. so i am gonna have to select nVidia gtx 1070 for this.

8 gb memory. 4 gb VRAM, plays VR like a boss. Future proof for at least next 3-4 years.. excellent performance when games are played at ultra high definition settings.. even if you are using 144 Hz monitor, this is still a beast and will run almost every game that there is today. Will easily get you 60+ fps on max settings for 1080p..

3. Motherboard

Gigabyte Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming - 140$

F102DB1B-01CF-45C4-B0A0-CDDB15E3A60F.jpeg

Brilliant mobo for ryzen series chips. Multiple electric safeties. 4 DDR4 slots, M.2 slots, supports crossfire / SLI, 6 USB ports including usb-c and usb 3.0, LAN, HDMI, built in audio chipset and most importantly, it wont crash on you.. what else do you need...

4. SSD / HDD

Hybrid drives - 83 + 85$ = 168$

01 Kingston 240 GB SSD with 01 3TB Toshiba 7200 RPM HDD.. its all you will ever need for PC gaming

5. RAM

** G Skill 2 x 8 GB - 140$**

E2F19AC3-7B76-4A0F-8260-D7B43F59357B.jpeg

G.Skill Ripjaws V series 16 GB RAM (2 x 8 GB), 3200 MHz, DDR4. Specs say it all..

6. PSU

Evga supernova g2 650 watt 80+ gold - 89$

C75C16E2-621E-47E1-80FE-A2B5BF1D6C98.jpeg

Modular design. Excellent safety features. 650 watt is more than enough for this build. Remember to pick only 80+ gold standard or above..

7. Case

Corsair Spec Alpha - 98$

I realize that most gaming enthusiasts would love to provide a great finish to their PC and instead of using a 60$ common case, would love to get that elite feeling by spending a few more bucks in this category.. this artisitic piece has got fans at front, top and back to provide excellent all around cooling. Good for atx, micro atx or itx boards. Choose from white/red, black/red, charcoal grey / black colours..

I agree that its a litttleeeeee bit expensive than most cases but hey.. you will get a great overall PC look out of it so why not..

Conclusion

So here you go folks, i hope you would like this build.. dont forget to share your opinions in the comment section and dont forget to follow, upvote and resteem.. cheers

Please note that prices are calculated based on average values that are taken from amazon, ebay and newegg. Use your own research to pick parts from wherever you can at cheaper rates..

If I had the time I'll channel all my creative energy into creating gaming PCs for others. It would've been a great way to rekindle my lout gaming passion.

At least I know where to start if I do find the time. Thanks

You are most welcome.. it took me a while to get back into swing of things.. it was really hard to reconnect with the gaming pc build after all these years.. but i did it.. hopefully u can too.. 😌

want...........okay WANT!!!!!!!!!! NOW!!!!!!!! LOLLL

let me know how you like it :D

Haha i love it..

I forgot the stomps foot part LOLLLL

Hahahaha even better

Man that is one hell of a system. The configuration is freaking huge and I love the design too. I think that the Nvidia provides a wide variety of the best graphics card, I have been using Nvidia graphics card from the start. Gotta tell you man this is a beast

Exactly.. for 1400$, this is the best configuration.. nVidia Cards have proven to be extremely good for gaming.. wish i could try my hands on Radeon Vega 64 too but miners have screwed the prices

Would a gaming laptop be OK or should I rather go for a PC.
I'm looking for a gaming rig myself in the range around 1200$

Throw in another 200 dollars and you will be able to get this... i will never go for laptop gaming. Besides portability, it has no advantagw over pc gaming whatsoever.. in the same price, the gaming laptop that you will get will have an nVidia GTX 960M 4gb graphics card which is equivalent to wasting money.. dont go for laptop.. (my advice)

I know , I wouldn't even think about a gaming laptop if I didn't need the portability.
But I might have to move in the near future and I need the laptop for other purposes as well so a compromise is necessary

Oh well.. in that case, laptop is your best option..

Modern gaming pc provide you more fun in one ticket. people love to do video editing and crypto minining which is not feasible in our region due to hefty electricity bill. nice sharing @jbn

Thann you brother..
